About Us

The Collin County Social Service Association (CCSSA) was formed sometime in the 1970's by a concerned member of the First Baptist Church in Plano. The association is governed with by-laws and is directed by officers elected on an annual basis.

The Mission of CCSSA: To provide a casual environment in which professionals serving in Collin County come together to stay current on social service agencies and their programs. Each month we meet to improve our knowledge base and connect with our colleagues.

With the constant change in programs and funding, the member agencies always have something new to share.

Meetings:

• When? Second Wednesday of each month January – November
• Where? First United Methodist Church
  601 S. Greenville
  Allen, TX 75002
• Time? 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. A program is offered with information that will be of interest to the members.
• Lunch? Members and guests are encouraged to bring their favorite lunch. A pay-at-the-door lunch is provided periodically throughout the year.

Each December, the association holds a more formal lunch in Plano. Officers are elected at this meeting to serve for the upcoming year.
